Microsoft Power Apps

This is a three-month course running from March 8 – May 19, 2023. The training covers PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Each week focuses on a different component of the Power Platform.

Month One
  • Week 1 covers the basics of PowerApps including creating and deploying custom apps, using common controls, and building a simple data entry PowerApp.
  • Week 2 continues with PowerApps and covers working with data sources, formulas and expressions, and custom code.
  • Week 3 focuses on intermediate PowerApps, covering advanced data source, formula, and custom code techniques.
  • Week 4 introduces Power Automate and covers creating and deploying custom workflows, using common actions, and building a simple workflow.
Month Two
  • Week 5 continues with Power Automate and covers working with data sources, formulas, expressions, and custom code.
  • Week 6 focuses on intermediate Power Automate, covering advanced data source, formula, and custom code techniques.
  • Week 7 introduces Power BI and covers creating and deploying custom reports, working with data sources, and visualizing data.
  • Week 8 continues with Power BI and covers using DAX expressions and advanced visualizations
Month Three
  • Week 9 covers best practices for data modelling and report security and sharing
  • Week 10 - 12 gives an avenue for students to pratice and build solutions with the various topics that have been taught
